Cano Estremera and The Echo Park Project at The Proud Bird - May 9, 2008

   Cano Estremera gave The Echo Park Project a run for their money on Saturday at The Proud Bird.  Cano, whose reputation precedes him for being picky and not always tactful, stopped the band a couple of times and had them re-start the songs after indicating the tempo he was looking for.  However, as much pressure as Cano must have put on them, the guys from The Echo Park Project rose to the occasion and gave us some fine beats to dance to that evening.

   About 200 people gathered to welcome the controversial Estremera, who posed with many of the attendees for pictures, signed plenty of autographs, and concluded the night with some of those choruses who have made him famous (and infamous).... aee-oooo aeee-ooo aeee-ooo "esta noche yo cul..."  yikes.   :) 

   Always a pleasure to watch, Cano is a diamond in the rough who stays so by choice, with much to say and plenty of it worth listening to.
