CHINO ESPINOZA'S BIRTHDAY AND THE FIRST DESCARGA.JAM.SESSION AT VANGUARD - July 17, 2008

    Chino Espinoza started another year of life with a bang... (never mind that he will look like he's in his twenties apparently for the rest of his life!)  And his birthday kicked off the series of descarga jam sessions planned for the Vanguard, with the next one coming up August 14th.

    Descarga.jam.session.1 saw on stage the combination of musicians from, to mention a few, Los Duenos del Son, Tabaco y Ron, Johnny Polanco y su Conjunto Amistad, and Son Mayor.  Who will be at descarga.jam.sessions.2 ???

    Those who made it to the Vanguard had fun.  Salsa dancer Ronald Naka said, "My friends who were there had a GREAT time and the ones who missed it don't know what they were missing.  This is the best party I have been to this year and it will be hard to beat."  Anthony Garcia, Salsa lover and dancer, added, "I went to Chino Espinoza's birthday and received a present! The gift of music with an all-star Salsa band!" 

    Here's to another happy and successful year of life for our Chino Espinoza, and to the pleasure of seeing on stage those who get to do what they love to do.
