Francisco Aguabella, Future Pigeon, Afrobeat Down.... and many more... at the Eagle Rock Music Festival

That was such a nice festival they had in Eagle Rock!  Colorado Boulevard was closed down for about five blocks to allow people to walk freely, to listen to music, and even sit in the middle of the street for once

We must have heard about eight different bands in the course of three hours, the main one of course being Francisco Aguabella [http://www.franciscoaguabella.com ], who closed the festival at midnight on one of the main stages.

His was the band that really made the crowd dance, or rather, the crowd could not wait long enough for him.  He must have played barely three notes before people jumped up to dance.

[Note to and from the obnoxious:  Rueda folks... rueda is great... really, fabulous...  Just PLEASE, take to mind to have those calls NEVER be louder than the musicians.  Seriously,.. nothing should be louder than Francisco Aguabella... EVER!]

Non-Salsa-wise... Props to a band called Future Pigeon.  I really liked their stuff.  Check them out at http://www.futurepigeon.com and http://www.myspace.com/futurepigeon .  Looks like they're going to be next at The Palace Theater in L.A. on Oct 21st.  Food for thought!

Now here's some pictures... Enjoy!
