THE CUBAN MUSIC FESTIVAL, AT ECHO PARK - May 18, 2008
It was a hot day today at Echo Park for
everyone, and must have been a boiling one for those on stage - Los
Puros, The Echo Park Project, Charangoa, Chalo y su Ache, and Timbao,
but it was a fun time too. The drum circle was as great as it is
every year. I enjoyed every group's performance, but when Timbao
played Polo Montanez' "Un Monton de Estrellas," that was awesome!
Very nice 2008 version of this festival, which hardly advertises, yet
everybody shows up to!
