EL FESTIVAL COLOMBIANO, at the Pico Rivera Sports Arena - July 20th, 2008
El Festival Colombiano at the Pico Rivera Sports Arena was a day long success. According to Andy Rosillo, one of the event’s organizers, about 7,000 people made it to this celebration of Colombia’s independence day. The organizational improvements over last year’s event were obvious and yielded results – there were many more vendors, food stands, bars in more functional places, and so forth. Orquesta Guayacan was the highlight of the event, with many other music groups and performers participating as well.
El Festival Colombiano 2009 is already in the works. Save the date – Sunday, July 19th, 2009!
