THE GREEK FEST - Sept 9, 2007
Father John, the minister of the Saint Sophia Cathedral, on which grounds the Greek Festival was held over the weekend, made my night by participating on stage with Pablo Mendez and La Charanga Latina on the guiro. That was so cool!
Pablo Mendez is awesome on the violin, as you will see on the clip below, in which members of La Charanga Latina and the San Francisco/Greek band Fotia performed together on stage.
The Festival was fun. We had Greek salads and stuffed grape leaves, and a shot of Ouzu (anise drink very similar to the Lebanese Arak.)
Single girls... a word of advise, move to Greece pronto! (hehe)
