SAN DIEGO'S SALSA SECRET - March 10, 2008

In the town of Valley Center, about 20 minutes northeast of Escondido and up someplace in the San Diego hills, is the Harrah's Rincon Casino.  Inside the casino is the Cabana Cove Lounge [http://www.harrahs.com/casinos/harrahs-rincon-san-diego/casino-entertainment/cabana-cove-detail.shtml ] where every Saturday, from 8 pm to midnight, there is live music, dancing, and a $300 Jack-N-Jill contest.

The organizer and DJ is Tony Caligagan from http://www.heatwaveproductions.com 

On March 8th, Daniel Castillo and "Salsa con Sabor" played live, and Michael and Camille, from http://www.positiveenergydance.com performed their latest routine. 

The Harrah's Salsa Saturdays happen inside of the Cabana Cove Lounge right now, but it will move out by the pool in the summer.  There is has a full food and drink menu and no cover charge.  The dancers at this place are, refreshingly, very nice and friendly people.  The Jack-N-Jill contest is hilarious!

Visit them one of these Saturdays.
