Los Hermanos Lebron, from New York, at the Quiet Cannon - March 28,
2009
Los Hermanos Lebron, or The Lebron Brothers,
whichever language you rather, make for a outstanding musical
experience. There is something about seeing four guys up on stage,
quadruples look-alikes, the conjuncture of which would add up to close
to 250 years and another big number of musical involvement. On
top of that, there's a hole in the heart for the fifth brother no longer
performing, Pablo Lebron, their singer.
Jose Lebron on piano, Franklin Lebron on congas, Carlos
Lebron on bongos, and Angel Lebron on bass, accompanied by the
impressive voice of the talented sonero, Renzo Padilla, from Peru,
brought to Los Angeles a musical treat this past Saturday at the Quiet
Cannon, in Montebello.
Little is known in the internet world about this performing
family, although any Salsa lover has heard about them at one point of
another. Yet, in one night they made their point... these are the
Lebron Brothers... accept no imitations!
Their concert was preceded by a Luisito Carrion
performance, accompanied by a group of fine Los Angeles musicians and
the vocals of Luisito Melaza, Juan Rodriguez and Daniel Castillo.
