Mother's Day with Johnny Polanco at the Borinquen Post 508 - May 9, 2009

   It was a packed house on Saturday at the Borinquen Post 508's new location in Hacienda Heights.  Johnny Polanco y su Conjunto Amistad performed for very much a Puerto Rican crowd in an event that included a full dinner, desert, raffles, dancing, and a special performance by folkloric Colombian dancers. 

   Borinquen Post 508 is an organization that has existed for the past 55 years.  Their events, according to their Special Project Officer Stephen Lopez, are held for veterans and for the community in general.  The Post organizes live music events periodically and everyone is welcome.
