LALO RODRIGUEZ, WITH ORQUESTA FUEGO LATINO, AT THE HOLLYWOOD PARK CASINO, DECEMBER 2, 2006

What a voice Lalo Rodriguez has! One of those voices that seem custom made for classic Salsa. 

And he was backed last night by Orquesta Fuego Latino, on a night when every single musician must have had their vitamins because they were rocking! 

The band:  on trumpet: Sal Cracchiolo; second trumpet: Luis Tejada;  trombone: Danny Weinstein;  second trombone:  Humberto Ruiz;  baritone: Pablo Calogero;  piano: Joey Rotondi;  bass: Rene Camacho;  conga: Papo Rodriguez;  timbales and musical director: Joey De Leon;  bongo and director:  Robertito Melendez;  and coros:  Lalo Alfaro and Mario Sandoval.  Good going to these guys!

Particularly enjoyable was the interaction between Lalo Rodriguez and the band, and the improvs the band did at his request.  Sounded good and looked like fun!

The Salsoneros Dance Company performed a couple of numbers and the "Salsoneras" accompanied Lalo for a couple of songs on the stage.

Well done by the Borinquen Post 508 and J.C. Ospina.  I had fun!
