LUCKY 7 MAMBO LIVE PERFORMANCE ON KXLU RADIO - March 21, 2009

artist Lucky 7 Mambo performed live during this weekend's
programming of the Alma del Barrio show on KXLU 88.9 FM.
The members of the band, Angel Rodriguez, Joey de Leon Jr., George
Balmaseda, Rene Camacho, Craig Fundyga, Kevin Ricard, and Joe Rotundi
set up their instruments at the station to transmit over an hour of
music - their interpretation of classic mambo.
Balmaseda, the group's singer, and the label's executive,
Nissim Baly, were interviewed on the air by Alma del Barrio's DJ
Guido Herrera. They discussed the concepts behind Lucky 7 Mambo's
repertoire - the multi-ethnic music fusion of the 1950s and 60s, with
the influences of great musicians such as Joe Cuba and Cheo Feliciano.
The Alma del Barrio radio show airs every Saturday and
Sunday from 6 am to 6 pm on 88.9 FM and it can also be listened to
online at kxlu.com.
Lucky 7 Mambo's next performance will be at La Clave, in
Glendale on Friday, March 27.
