NEW YEAR'S EVE AT THE CICADA RESTAURANT - 2008/2009 The Cicada Restaurant occupies the space that in 1927 was built for the exclusive men's shop called Alexander and Oviatt. The Oviatt Building was the first Art-Deco building in Los Angeles. For its construction, marble and several tons of Rene Lalique's art glass were shipped to the U.S. from France. After the death of the Oviatts, who lived in the penthouse of the building until the early 1970s, the building was declared a cultural monument in 1978, and in 1983 it was listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It was in this elegant place that the Latino Professional Network held its New Year's eve celebration. Hundreds attended the event and were entertained by the Los Angeles Salsa band, Orquesta Tabaco y Ron, as well as several DJs.
AND COULD THESE BE THE FIRST PICTURES OF TABACO Y RON OF 2009?!?!!
