- by Dena Burroughs SUNDAY POOL PARTY AT THE WEST COAST SALSA CONGRESS 2007 - 5/27/07 This year, "se me complico la cosa", things got complicated during the week of the Salsa Congress in L.A for me. First, I wanted to attend Salsa night at Cal State LA because it happens to be my school. Second, I just love Cano Estremera and I am ever so glad I got to see the Orquesta La Farandula, de Cuba on Saturday night! And third, well, I apparently swore my poverty vows to the diocese of Poor Media and there's only so much money I can spend in one same weekend. Therefore... what I can share of the Congress this year is a few sights at the free pool party on Sunday. It was fun though! DJ Saoco, who rocks with his Timba no matter where he's at, played awesome music, followed by DJ Victor Rumbero, who also played good stuff. Following are a few pictures... "un taquito pa'l ojo", he he... and a short video. Enjoy!
