Ten reasons to try out the Stargazer, in West Hills

  1. If you live in the Valley.

There aren’t that many places in the San Fernando Valley to go to dance. The Stargazer is right on Fallbrook close to the 101 Fwy.  These days may as well support a nice place that will save you some gas.  However, someone from the other valley, the San Gabriel Valley for example, 48 minutes away from the Stargazer, can still make the drive and have a fabulous time!

  1. It is friendly.

The Stargazer has a nice vibe to it.  Starting with the people running it and their families who are there supporting them, the air is a welcoming one.

  1. And the air is also conditioned.

The air conditioner works folks!  Most of you know how many other places make you dance and cleanse your pores at the same time.  At the Stargazer, if you sweat, it’ll be because you’ve been busy.

  1. The dance floor.

Wooden, large and smooth.   This is the prime environment for those of you who were dance shoes..

  1. The music

Mostly Salsa, with an incorporation of one merengue, or one vallenato, or one reggaeton, every so often.  Only one digression at a time and then it goes back to Salsa.  Salsa selections were good combining both Puerto Rican and Colombian songs.

  1. The amenities.

It is a restaurant so up to a certain hour food can be ordered.  There is a full bar.  There is plenty of seating. The bathrooms are clean.

  1. The girls.

Many of them.  The ratio of girls versus guys was not even on opening night, but the ratio of girls and guys isn’t right in the world ever anyhow.  And at this place, if the guys don’t dance with the girls, the girls will dance by themselves or with each other.  They want to dance!

  1. You never know who you may find.

Galen, a dancer from Illinois, just showed up.  Who will be there next week?

  1. The three guys in the corner.

You know them guys.  The ones that you recognize because you’ve seen them everywhere.  You know they can dance, but they stay huddled in a corner looking at the girls on the dance floor while sipping a beer.  And you call them creidos, (stuck-up) because you want to dance, and you know they are the best dancers there, and you’re frustrated because they won’t ask you.  Well, let me tell you what, ask them.  They’re not as much creidos as they are shy… yeap…under that little bundle of attitude they’re actually just gathering a nerve.  So give them one minute of yours and they’ll give you a night of dancing.  Boys are allowed to be shy too!
